Ray Bishop Interviewed by KING 5 on Tragic E-Bike Accident Involving Everett Teen

Bishop Legal Founder and Principal Attorney Raymond Bishop recently appeared on KING 5 News to discuss a heartbreaking case our firm is handling. The case involves a tragic incident in which a 13-year-old boy lost his life after colliding with a metal cable fence while riding his e-bike in Everett.

The fatal incident, which took place along a community path in the 8800 block of 5th Avenue W, has led the victim’s family to seek justice and raise awareness about hazardous public spaces. Bishop Legal now represents the family, who intend to file a lawsuit aimed at addressing and rectifying the dangerous conditions that led to their child’s death.

Speaking with KING 5, Ray Bishop emphasized the profoundly unsafe conditions that contributed directly to this devastating loss:

“This was a horrifically unsafe setting for any community.”

He further explained the urgency behind the lawsuit and the need for immediate corrective action to prevent similar tragedies:

“A wire rope that was here killed a child, broke a family in two, and divided the community. But for that wire rope, Emi would still be here with us. Without that bollard and someone being able to tie off to it, Emi would still be here today.”
