Sidewalks Used Daily for Work

Snohomish Co Public Works says it will cost ONE BILLION DOLLARS and take decades to bring all its public right-of-ways into compliance with the ADA.

One billion dollars-that’s how much it will cost to make all of Snohomish County’s public rights-of- ways in the unincorporated parts of the county compliant with the Americans with

Disabilities Act. 93 percent of curb ramps and 62 percent of sidewalks were not up to code. It will cost a massive amount of time and money to change that.

If your routine involves walking, never let your guard down. Always be extra careful and follow the rules of the road. Obey traffic signals, use sidewalks, crosswalks, and look both ways before crossing the street.

If you or a loved one has been seriously injured using a sidewalk or while walking, please contact us for a free, no obligation, consultation at-(206) 260-3316. Protecting the rights of the seriously injured since 1994.
